About Steven M. Nesbit

Steve Nesbit - Professional WriterGreetings,

I have devoted my professional career to academics, communications and kids. I retired from the public schools in 2006 after 32 years of teaching at Central York School District. I was employed as an Adjunct Professor of Communications at York College, PA in 1998 and decided during the Spring semester of 2012 that I would walk out of the classroom, so I could focus on my writing.

My writing interest first surfaced as a result of my love of the performing arts. I wrote a collection of short plays which won third place in a college writing contest, and my writing really developed during the early 1990's when I worked as a stringer writing entertainment articles, press releases and play reviews for local newspapers. Having taught traditional English and Language Arts for more than 30 years, my command of the language coupled with the creativity and fluency of a wordsmith has given me the gift of written expression.

Nonfiction Writing ProjectsI received my MEd from Penn State University. From high school English teacher to college professor of communications, my educational career has spanned almost four decades, and I've been a writer for twenty years. During those years, I've worn many hats. Staff reporting, feature writing, copywriting, copyediting, ghostwriting and collaborative writing are all part of my writing experience; however, my passion is nonfiction and research and I love interviewing people.

My biography about classically-trained Russian artist Ivan Garikow is available on Amazon, the Garikow web site, and right here on my own web site.

Thank you for visiting my site! How can I help you?
